A Dutch Gliding Club achieved the unbelievable Top-Ranking of Dutch, European and World Club Champion in the 2012 OLC-Plus-Season. 90 Pilots of the Gelderse Zweefvliegclub (GeZC) flew over 283,266 km cross country within the Netherlands, Europe, Africa, Australia and the USA. 75% of the total distance was flown in Europe. Of course, this major success will be celebrated in Holland. Located at the Dutch National Gliding Center in Terlet, the club works with an interesting philosophy called “Why we fly instead of learning to fly….”. OLC was of course curious and wanted to know more on the Gelderse story.
